Thank you for visiting the Coles County Supervisor of Assessments Office website. Our hope is that this site will help assist and answer many of the common questions property owners have about property records, homestead exemptions, and property assessments.

Current Reminders:

The 2013 Supervisor of Assessments Publication took place on Friday, November 8th, 2013 in the Journal Gazette - Times Courier. Please visit the 2013 Publication link to the right to view each Township's publication listing.

The 2013 Board of Review is now in session and accepting assessed valuation complaints for the 2013 assessment year. Complaints will be accepted until the close of business on Monday, December 9th, 2013. No complaints will be accepted after this date. Complaint forms and information are available through the Board of Review link above or by contacting our office.

The Regional Planning Department has launched a new GIS Portal for Coles County which is available by utilizing the GIS Portal link to the right. Also, for current assessment and property record information, please utilize the Property Assessment & Taxes link to the right. To view the property record information, perform a search and select "Property Information". These services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except when undergoing routine maintenance.
