Hello and wlecome to the Coles County Supervisor of Assessments Office Web site. Our hope is that this site will help assist and answer many of the common questions property owners have about property records, homestead exemptions, and property assessments.

Among our various duties:

• Maintain property records for all real property
• Process real-estate transfer declarations for sales ratio studies
• Administer homestead and property tax exemptions
• Reasearch legal descriptions for deeds
• Assist the Board of Review in its hearings on assessment complaints

Current Reminders:

Tax bills for the 2010 payable 2011 property assessments were mailed on May 13, 2011 and are due in two installments: June 17th and September 1st, 2011. Those are paid through the Treasurer's Office.

The 2011 Board of Review is now in session and accepting assessment complaints for the 2011 payable 2012 assessments. These will be accepted until Friday, August 12, 2011 or thirty (30) calednar days after Supervisor of Assessments Publication, whichver date is later. Currently no date is set for Publication.

We can now e-mail property record cards from our CAMA system in a .pdf format. To request a copy of a property record card, please e-mail your request to our office at assessment@co.coles.il.us.
