State's Attorney

The appointment of Brian L. Bower to the position of Associate Judge of the Fifth Judicial Circuit has resulted in the vacancy of the State's Attorney's Office. The County Board declares this position vacant as of January 1, 2019.

Interested applicants must submit a resume and letter of interest to the Coles County Board Office, 651 Jackson Ave., Room 326, Charleston, Illinois, by Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Pursuant to statute applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and a member of the Republican Party. WIC/FCM RN

Coles County Health Department has an immediate opening for a full time RN in WIC/FCM Program. 8:30am-4:30pm M-F. No weekends, midnights, or scheduled on-call.

Excellent benefits - 13 paid holidays. $35,000 per year. Experience with maternal and child health desired.

Telecommunications Position

The Coles County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Telecommunication position. This position is a union position and works inside the Jail on a 8 hour shift rotation. The starting salary for this position is $23,339. Ideal applicant must possess the ability to multitask, use radio, ability to use computers to include data entry, and light filing. Retirement is through IMRF with different health insurance options. 80 hours of vacation after one (1) year of service, three (3) personal days, and 8 hours of accrued sick leave per month.
