1. Development an annual budget for computer needs with various County Officers and appointed officials and department heads, subject to the review and approval of the Finance Committee. 2. Make recommendations to the County Board concerning computer related matters for present and future needs. 3. Be made up on a bi-partisan basis with two representatives coming from each major political party. 4. Be responsible for analyzing any request by any elected or appointed official asking to purchase additional computer or computer related equipment, to determine the validity of such request, and to make appropriate recommendations for either approval or disapproval thereof. Said requests shall first be presented to the committee that initially reviews the official's bills so that committee can provide input to the Computer Committee. 5. Shall administer the Coles County Internship Program as adopted by the Coles County Board on August 22, 1977. 6. The publicizing of the internship program to potential applicants and interested parties in a timely manner. 7. Making internship applications available to interested parties in a timely manner. 8. Periodically reviewing the overall internship program and reporting its findings to the County Board. 9. Assuring that internships are awarded in a non-partisan manner on the basis of qualification and academic merit. 10. Shall determine the number of interns to be awarded to the various County Officers requesting interns, within the budgetary guidelines of the County Board. April 20, 2006
The Computer/Internship Committee was called to order at 2:45 p.m. with the following members present: Ray Allen, Joy Russell, Mike Weaver and John Hurst, Chairman, presiding. Also attending was Elaine Karpus-Komada, Administrative Assistant. The members reviewed the requests for 8 interns for the Spring
Semester. The offices requesting interns are as follows: State's
Attorney - 2, Public Defender - 2, Planning Commission - 2, County
Board -2. Mr. Weaver moved to award all interns as requested.
Mr. Allen seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m. |
