Childhood lead poisoning is one of the most common and
preventable
pediatric health problems in the United States. Lead occurs naturally in
our environment such as: paint, dust, drinking water and dirt outside.
Follow-up case management for those whose blood lead level is above 10.
Lead poisoning information on prevention, intervention, and home renovation.
Ages Served: 6 months to 6 years old
who meet
lead screening requirements. All Medicaid-eligible children should
receive a blood level test at 12 months and 24 months.
All Illinois children need a lead screening before
entering Daycare, Preschool and Kindergarten.
