Vaccine for 6 months - 64 years - We will offer a quadrivalent vaccine for individuals 6 months through 64 years of age. The quadrivalent vaccine is a new type of vaccination that is available this coming season. The regular flu vaccine in the past has provided protection against three different strands of the influenza virus (two types of Influenza A and one type of Influenza B). The quadrivalent vaccine will protect against four strains of influenza (two Influenza A strains and two Influenza B strains). This will enable us to offer the most protection possible to the individuals receiving the influenza vaccine this coming season. The charge for this vaccine is $35 unless the child qualifies for Vaccine for Children, the charge for VFC is $7.00.

Vaccine for 65 years and older - We will also offer the High-dose Influenza vaccine for individuals 65 years of age and older. The High-dose vaccine offers the best protection to this age group due to the immune system decreasing its ability to respond to the regular vaccine as people age. The High-dose vaccine offers higher levels of antigen so that the person will have a higher immune response to the vaccine. This will offer the best protection available for this age group against the influenza virus. The charge for this vaccine is $45 but Medicare covers it 100%.
