A late fee of $25.00 will be added to any temporary application that is not received by this Department at least fourteen days prior to the event. Applications received the same day as the event will have a $100.00 late fee. Applications that cannot be adequately reviewed may not be approved. All fees are non-refundable.

Temporary Events

Any temporary food event open to the public in Coles County may require a temporary permit. If that event is held on the campus of Eastern Illinois University, a special permit is required. (See EIU Temporary Events below for more information.) For events not on the campus of EIU, but in the county of Coles, submit a completed Temporary Food Permit Application (PDF File) to this Department. A $35.00 non-refundable fee is charged for each event.  If you have any questions, please contact the Coles County Health Department via email or phone at (217) 348-0530 or (217) 258-0530 Applications are not reviewed until the appropriate fee is received by this Department.

EIU Temporary Events

A temporary food event open to the public on the campus of Eastern Illinois University requires an EIU Temporary Food Permit. Complete a EIU Temporary Food Application (PDF File) and submit it along with the appropriate fee at least two weeks before the event. Direct this application to Gloria Spear.
