The key dates for the 2012 real estate tax cycle are as follows:

June 29, 2012 -- First installment due.

Sept. 7, 2012 -- Second installment due.

Sept. 28, 2012 -- Target date for Certified to be mailed.

****Also, Last day for personal checks****

Oct. 1, 2012 -- List to newspaper (noon)

Oct. 3, 2012 -- Final day for payment prior to publication

Oct. 4, 2012 -- Last day to remove names from publication list (noon)

Oct. 5, 2012 -- Last day intent to purchase

Oct. 9, 2012 -- Publication

Oct. 19, 2012 -- Apply for tax judgment

Oct. 22, 2012 -- Tax sale, 1 p.m.

     To participate in tax sale you need:

     Letter of Intent -- includes your name, address, telephone number, and your intent to attend the tax sale.

     $250.00 registration fee -- will be applied to your purchase. Nonrefundable if no purchase.

     The day of sale, a letter of credit from financial institution stating the amount you are approved to purchase.

     Tax judgment book can be purchased for $50.00
