 The County Treasurer serves as both Treasurer and Collector for the County. The Treasurer is responsible for depositing, investing, and disbursing funds for Coles County. The Collector is responsible for billing, investing, and distributing property taxes. In Coles County, approximately 25,000 real estate tax bills are mailed each year, and collections are over 44 million in tax dollars. These funds are distributed to over 60 taxing districts. "Our Promise to You" The Coles County Treasurer's Office works for the taxpayers and the taxing districts of the County. We are here to serve you. Our goal is to provide professional and courteous service to all of Coles County. If you'd like to view the real estate taxes on a particular piece of property, you now may do this online at property tax public inquiry. If you'd like to view the Coles County Audit for the year ending November, 2009, you may do so at Audit. |
