Aerial Photography
Coles County recently hired Pictometry to fly orthophotography as well as oblique photography. The photography is being used with Pictometry's Electronic Field Study software in several local government agencies.

Strategic plan
Coles County GIS has now completed a the final Coles County GIS Strategic Plan. The plan includes projects slated to occur over the next couple of years, as well as an overview of the current status of the GIS. The plan was passed by the County Board later last year.
